Win 7 in 2003 Server Domain - Network shares "Not Responding"
I have a Server 2003 AD controller with some shared folders. Many employees work exclusively off of these folders. I had 30 XP users using these folders with no problems. I have 3 users transitioned to Win 7, both 32- and 64-bit. Those users are experiencing problems when saving to network shares. At seemingly random intervals, the saving application will show the status "Not Responding" in the title bar. After some amount of time, the save will complete and the application will continue on. The file does get saved correctly. This happens with Word 2007, Excel 2007, Adobe Acrobat, Intuit Quickbooks, among others. Any ideas will be appreciated. Hi, Here are some suggestions you can try: 1. Temporarily turn off firewall on the machine to check the result. If the issue persists, please also perform a Clean Boot. 2. Restart the machine to Safe Mode with Networking and access shared resource again. Does the issue persist? Thanks, Novak
